What is If I have to?

In December 2006, Chris and Jill Love’s son Greg, was tragically left severely brain damaged as a result of a road traffic accident.

Over the last few years, Chris and Jill have got to know how difficult and expensive it is to obtain aids and equipment for people like Greg that could make so much difference to their lives.

Greg currently attends Victoria Education Centre (A division of Livability (registered charity number: 1116530)) for children and young people with all sorts of disabilities.

So in order to get such equipment, they and other family and friends decided to try and do something to help Greg (17) and others pupils of Victoria College.  As a result, If I have to was formed.  An independent group of supporters, If I have to members do everything to try and benefit Greg and other pupils of Victoria College.

What started the ball rolling was a new piece of equipment introduced at Victoria, called the Eye Gaze which would give Greg and others greater ability to communicate.  You can read more about it HERE.

12 months on, we have raised well over the £13,000 required to purchase the Eye Gaze, in fact we have raised over £17,000 with additional funds going to other schemes and projects.

The members and supports of If I have to are now working closely with Victoria Education college to support a new campaign, known as the Sparkle Appeal.

You can read all about the Sparkle Appeal HERE.  All funds now obtained through events arranged by the If I have to team will be destined for the Sparkle Appeal to assist in reaching the huge £5 million target that bit quicker.
